Julie was first introduced to Pilates in 2006 after a running injury prevented her from normal exercise routines. As Julie continued to practice she was impressed by how effective Pilates was at addressing the typical injuries and discomforts.

Pilates then became her sole form of strength training and conditioning because of its low impact way of toning and strengthening. She continues to draw upon her experience as a long time athlete and student to enhance her teaching and enjoys inspiring her clients to create greater strength, freedom of movement, well-being and confidence. Julie received her mat and system Pilates Certifications from Power Pilates in 2009.

Julie also holds a BA from Simmons College with a concentration in English Literature. When she’s not teaching, some of her favorite activities include caring for and spending time with her two small children, husband, family and dogs!
